2. What are the advantages of a DC motor compared to an AC motor?

At Aeriva, we exclusively use variable-frequency direct current (DC) motors with pure copper windings. They are designed to be up to 75% more energy-efficient and significantly quieter than standard AC motors. They also offer maximum flexibility with 6 speed settings for precise control of airflow.
3. Is the fan effective during hot weather?

Yes, absolutely. The aerodynamic design of our blades allows for optimal air displacement. By creating a constant, enveloping airflow, the fan promotes the natural evaporation of moisture on the skin, providing an immediate cooling sensation (a perceived drop of 3°C to 5°C) throughout the room.
4. How does Winter mode (flow reversal) work?

With a simple press of your remote control, you can reverse the direction of the blade rotation. In winter mode, the fan rotates in reverse to draw in air and gently push the heat naturally accumulated at the ceiling down to the floor. This helps to homogenize the room temperature and significantly reduce your heating bills.
5. Are the blades made of real wood?

This depends on the collection chosen to precisely meet your needs:

  • Our Prestige models (such as the Vida, Nordka, or Calan) feature magnificent blades carved from genuine solid wood (Walnut) for an organic, high-end look.
  • Our flagship and compact models (such as the Sirocco, Alizé, Syracus, Listo, or Voltor) incorporate blades made of polymer or high-density thermoformed ABS. This high-tech composite structure features a premium textured finish that perfectly imitates wood grain. Designed to last, it offers the advantage of never warping or cracking in the face of humidity fluctuations, which ensures perfect rotational stability and total silence year after year.
6. Can the light intensity and color be adjusted?

Yes. For all of our models equipped with an integrated LED ceiling light (such as the Sirocco, Alizé, Listo, Galaxie, or Voltor), the light is dimmable (adjustable from 0% or 20% to 100%). You can also select the color temperature directly from your remote control: Warm White (3000K) for a cozy atmosphere, Neutral White (4500K) for daily comfort, or Cool White (6000K) for maximum working clarity. Furthermore, our models feature a memory function that retains your last setting.
7. Do all of your fans have an integrated light?

No. True to our minimalist and architectural spirit, some of our iconic models (such as the Vergo or the Syracus) are deliberately designed without a lighting kit. This is the ideal choice if your rooms already have their own light sources (spotlights, pendants) and you are looking for an ultra-flat profile (up to 17.5 cm in height) and a pure, airy silhouette.
8. What is the noise level of your devices (decibels)?

Thanks to our Silent-Drive™ DC motor technology, our fans are designed to be virtually inaudible. Our models feature an ultra-low noise level ranging between 20 dB (as with our best-selling Sirocco at speed 1) and 35 to 40 dB at full power. For comparison, speed 1 is equivalent to a light rustle of leaves, perfect for accompanying your night's sleep without any disturbance.
9. How do I choose the right model size for my room?

To ensure perfect thermal comfort, select the diameter based on your surface area:

  • Less than 15 m² (Bedroom, office, kitchen): Favor our compact or intermediate models such as our must-have Alizé, or the new Voltor, the Mango, the Némésis, or the Capri.
  • From 15 to 25 m² (Standard living room, spacious bedroom, dining room): Choose a versatile 42 to 48-inch format such as the Helixir or the Listo.
  • More than 25 m² (Large living room, open-plan loft, XXL living space): Opt for the scale of our flagship models and XL collections such as the legendary Sirocco, or the models Calan, the Ragnir, the Cygne, the Galaxie, or the Vida.
10. Can your fans be installed outdoors?

Most of our models (such as the Sirocco, Alizé, Listo, Voltor, or Calan) are Damp-Rated. They are therefore perfect for your indoor rooms (including kitchens), but can also be installed in sheltered outdoor spaces, such as a veranda, porch, or covered terrace, provided they are never exposed to direct water spray or rain.
11. Is the installation accessible to an individual?

Installation has been simplified as much as possible. The system relies on a sturdy mounting bracket to be screwed into the ceiling, which then houses the motor unit. Electrical connection is facilitated by a quick-connect box. Although assembly is accessible to anyone with basic DIY skills, we nevertheless recommend the intervention of a licensed electrician if you are not comfortable with your electrical system.
